Playback report privacy
What Teevo shares when you enable Share Playback Results.
Updated 9 October 2026 · Playback reporting only
You choose to share
In a build with reporting enabled, turning on Share Playback Results allows Teevo to send a summary automatically, at most once a day when there are results to share. Turn the setting off to stop future submissions. A summary can include results kept on your device before you turned sharing on.
This page covers playback summaries sent to Amberlake. It does not replace the privacy policies of the accounts or sources you connect to Teevo.
What the summary contains
- Teevo version and build number.
- Operating system version and device model, such as an Apple TV model shared by many devices.
- The start and end days covered by the summary.
- Counts grouped by live TV, film or episode; media format; player; and whether playback worked, failed, was refused or had sound only.
Our receiver converts unrecognised media formats to “unknown”. It adds a receipt time and a random record identifier.
What we leave out
The stored summary contains no title or channel names, source or playlist addresses, provider names, account details, passwords, tokens or device identifier. We do not add request headers or IP addresses to report records.
Netlify hosts the receiver and storage. Like other hosting services, it processes connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service. That network processing is separate from the report records. See Netlify’s privacy policy.
Why we collect it
We use these summaries to understand which device, player and format combinations need attention. Reports have no public viewing page and access is limited to authorised administrators.
Stored summaries become eligible for automatic deletion after 30 days. Cleanup runs hourly; service interruptions can delay deletion. We do not use these reports for advertising.
Questions or a specific problem?
Reports contain no contact details, so we cannot reply to one or reliably locate a person’s past reports. Turning sharing off stops future submissions; existing records expire through the retention process.
Email hello@amberlake.co.uk for help or privacy questions. If you email us, your message and email address are handled separately from playback summaries.
